    Tube Factor Empty Tube Factor

Post by wulfenganck Tue Sep 30, 2014 4:06 pm

So, who's using the Tube Factor and what are your thoughts about it?
I bought mine via ebay a year ago.
The signal goes from guitar to Tube Factor, then T-Rex Gull Wah then amp (Hughes & Kettner Edition Tube 25th Anniversary).

Anybody having modifications done - most popular one seems to be the Okko mod with separate gain and volume for Factor 2?

I use one with my old Dual Rectifier.
Channel 1 (tube) to boost the red Channel : sound fat, big but tight (like a super tubescreamer) and rich (tube benefit)
Channel 2 (diode) to boost the orange channel in vintage mode (rectifier) : to get a vintage sound but with the tightness of a modern amp.

I changed the tube and put a 12 ax7 TAD.

I used to use one through a Marshall DSL 50. The Pedal was by far better than the amp itself. I talked my friend Donnie into getting one to run in front of his Boss Katana 100 MKI and he absolutely loves it. He put a Genalex Gold Lion B759 Gold Pin in it.

Here is a demo of it. Which doesn't do it as much justice as it deserves.
